BNV : তৃতীয় দিনে দায়ূদ সিক্লগে উপস্থিত হল| সেখানে গিয়ে তারা দেখল অমালেকীয়রা সিক্লগ শহর আক্রমণ করেছে| তারা নেগেভ অঞ্চলে হানা দিয়েছিল| সিক্লগ শহর তারা পুড়িয়ে ছারখার করে দিয়েছিল|
KJV : And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;
YLT : And it cometh to pass, in the coming in of David and his men to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites have pushed unto the south, and unto Ziklag, and smite Ziklag, and burn it with fire,
RV : And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had made a raid upon the South, and upon Ziklag, and had smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;

ESV : Now when David and his men came to Ziklag on the third day, the Amalekites had made a raid against the Negeb and against Ziklag. They had overcome Ziklag and burned it with fire
ERVEN : As soon as David and his men arrived at Ziklag on the third day, they saw that the Amalekites had attacked Ziklag. The Amalekites invaded the Negev area, attacked Ziklag, and burned the city.

BNV : সিক্লগের স্ত্রীলোকদের তারা বন্দী হিসাবে ধরে নিয়ে গিয়েছিল| যুবক বৃদ্ধ সকলকে ধরে নিয়ে গিয়েছিল, কিন্তু তাদের কাউকে হত্যা করে নি|

BNV : সব সৈন্যরা দুঃখে আর রাগে অধীর হয়ে পড়েছিল, কারণ তাদের ছেলে মেয়েদের যুদ্ধ বন্দী হিসাবে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছিল| তাই তারা দাযুদকে আক্রমণ করবার ও পাথর ছুঁড়ে মেরে ফেলবার সিদ্ধান্ত নিল| দায়ূদ এসব শুনে মুষড়ে পড়লেন| কিন্তু প্রভু ঈশ্বরেম্প দায়ূদ তাঁর শক্তি খুঁজে পেলেন|

ERVEN : All the men in the army were sad and angry because their sons and daughters were taken as prisoners. The men were talking about killing David with stones. This upset David very much, but he found strength in the Lord his God.

BNV : দায়ূদ যাজক অবিয়াথরকে বললেন, “এফোদটি এনে দাও এবং অবিয়াথর দায়ূদকে সেটা এনে দিলেন|”
KJV : And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.

BNV : তারপর দায়ূদ প্রভুর কাছে প্রার্থনা করলেন, “যারা আমাদের ছেলেমেয়েদের ধরে নিয়ে গেছে, আমি কি তাদের পিছু নেব? আমি কি তাদের ধরতে পারব?”প্রভু বললেন, “যাও ওদের পিছু নাও| তুমি ওদের ধরতে পারবে| তুমি তোমার সকল পরিবারগুলিকে রক্ষা করতে পারবে|”
KJV : And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake [them,] and without fail recover [all. ]
YLT : and David asketh at Jehovah, saying, `I pursue after this troop -- do I overtake it?` And He saith to him, `Pursue, for thou dost certainly overtake, and dost certainly deliver.`
RV : And David inquired of the LORD, saying, If I pursue after this troop, shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake {cf15i them}, and shalt without fail recover {cf15i all}.

ERVEN : Then David prayed to the Lord. "Should I chase the people who took our families? Will I catch them?" The Lord answered, "Chase them. You will catch them, and you will save your families."

ERVEN : David took the 600 men with him and went to Besor Ravine. About 200 of his men stayed there because they were too weak and tired to continue. But David and the other 400 men continued to chase the Amalekites.

ERVEN : The Egyptian had not had any food or water for three days and nights, so they gave him a piece of fig cake and two clusters of raisins. He felt better after eating.

BNV : মিশরীয় লোকটাকে দায়ূদ জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “কে তোমার মনিব? কোথা থেকে তুমি আসছ?”লোকটি বলল, “আমি একজন মিশরীয়| অমালেকের ক্রীতদাস| তিনদিন আগে আমি অসুস্থ হওয়ায আমার মনিব আমাকে ছেড়ে দিয়ে চলে যায়|
KJV : And David said unto him, To whom [belongest] thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I [am] a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick.
YLT : And David saith to him, `Whose [art] thou? and whence [art] thou?` And he saith, `An Egyptian youth I [am], servant to a man, an Amalekite, and my lord forsaketh me, for I have been sick three days,
RV : And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick.

ERVEN : David asked the Egyptian, "Who is your master? Where do you come from?" The Egyptian answered, "I am an Egyptian, the slave of an Amalekite. Three days ago I got sick, and my master left me behind.

KJV : We made an invasion [upon] the south of the Cherethites, and upon [the coast] which [belongeth] to Judah, and upon the south of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.
YLT : we pushed [to] the south of the Cherethite, and against that which [is] to Judah, and against the south of Caleb, and Ziklag we burned with fire.`

BNV : দায়ূদ তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “যারা আমাদের পরিবারগুলিকে নিয়ে নিয়েছে তুমি কি তাদের কাছে আমাদের নিয়ে যাবে?”মিশরীয় লোকটি বলল, “যদি ঈশ্বরের কাছে প্রতিশ্রুতি করো যে তুমি আমায় হত্যা করবে না বা আমাকে আমার মনিবের কাছে ফিরিযে দেবে না, তাহলে আমি তোমাকে সাহায্য করবো|”
KJV : And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring thee down to this company.
YLT : And David saith unto him, `Dost thou bring me down unto this troop?` and he saith, `Swear to me by God -- thou dost not put me to death, nor dost thou shut me up into the hand of my lord -- and I bring thee down unto this troop.`

ERVEN : David asked the Egyptian, "Will you lead me to the people who took our families?" The Egyptian answered, "If you make a special promise before God, I will help you find them. But you must promise that you will not kill me or give me back to my master."

BNV : মিশরীয় লোকটি দায়ূদকে অমালেকীয়দের কাছে পৌঁছে দিল| সেই সময় তারা মাটিতে চারিদিকে ছড়িয়ে গড়াগড়ি দিচ্ছিল, খাওয়াদাওযা ও পান করছিল| পলেষ্টীয়দের দেশ আর যিহূদা থেকে যা লুঠপাট করে এনেছিল সে সব নিয়ে ওরা ফূর্তি করছিল|
KJV : And when he had brought him down, behold, [they were] spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of Judah.

ERVEN : The Egyptian led David to the Amalekites. They were lying around on the ground, eating and drinking. They were celebrating with the many things they had taken from the Philistines and from Judah.

BNV : দায়ূদ তাদের আক্রমণ করে হত্যা করলেন| সূর্য়োদয থেকে পরদিন সন্ধ্য়ে পর্য়ন্ত তারা যুদ্ধ করলো| 400 জন অমালেক যুবক ঝাঁপ দিয়ে, উটে চড়ে পালিয়ে গেল| বাকীরা সকলে নিহত হল|
KJV : And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled.
YLT : And David smiteth them from the twilight even unto the evening of the morrow, and there hath not escaped of them a man, except four hundred young men who have ridden on the camels, and are fled.

BNV : অমালেকীয়রা যা যা নিয়েছিল দায়ূদ তার সব ফিলে পেলেন| তিনি তাঁর দুই স্ত্রীও ফিরে গেলেন|
KJV : And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives.

KJV : And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any [thing] that they had taken to them: David recovered all.
YLT : And there hath not lacked to them [anything], from small unto great, and unto sons and daughters, and from the spoil, even unto all that they had taken to themselves, the whole hath David brought back,

ESV : Nothing was missing, whether small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything that had been taken. David brought back all.
ERVEN : Nothing was missing. They found all the children and old people, all their sons and daughters, and all their valuables. They got back everything the Amalekites had taken. David brought everything back.

ERVEN : David came to the 200 men who had stayed at Besor Ravine. These were the men who were too weak and tired to follow David. They came out to meet him and the soldiers who went with him. They greeted David and his army as they approached.

BNV : দায়ূদ বললেন, “ভাইসব, এইরকম কাজ করা ঠিক নয়| প্রভু আমাদের কি দিয়েছেন একবার ভেবে দেখো| তিনি আমাদের বিরুদ্ধে আসা শত্রুদের হারিয়ে দিয়েছেন|
KJV : Then said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with that which the LORD hath given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered the company that came against us into our hand.

KJV : For who will hearken unto you in this matter? but as his part [is] that goeth down to the battle, so [shall] his part [be] that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.
YLT : and who doth hearken to you in this thing? for as the portion of him who was brought down into battle, so also [is] the portion of him who is abiding by the vessels -- alike they share.`

KJV : And it was [so] from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Israel unto this day.
